I just have time to post a few quick shots from Old Montreal that I took on Sunday, starting with a wintery looking Palais des Congrés taken on the corner of rue Saint Antoine.
Just up the street on the corner of rue Saint Jacques is the beautiful Saint James Hotel.
Rue Saint Paul looks nice any time of year, but I especially like when it is covered in snow.
There were some impressive mountains of snow in front of the Marché Bonsecours down in the Old Port.
In addition to the LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana, outside the LHotel is also The Man On Horse by Fernand Botero. I quite liked the image of him covered in snow looking at the parking sign warning of the 15 minute waiting time.
While on the subject of time, just across the street the clock was looking nice with icicles.
And now it’s time I got running and start some festive celebrating. Being Christmas day tomorrow, I will likely not post here, but hopefully if Mount Royal is still looking as beautiful as it did todaywith the trees glistening beneath ice, I will be able to get out and get some pics to post on Thursday.
Wishing you all (again) a happy holiday.
