This weekend will see 200 teams competing at the 17th edition of the Montreal International Dragon Boat Race Festival being held at the Olympic Basin on Île Notre-Dame.
The festival started today with a couple of races for The Hong Kong Student Cup and The Tourisme Montreal Cup,so I decided to head over to check out the action. Crowds were small today which I imagine will not be the case over the weekend.

Given the beautiful weather I was wishing I had been a competitor on the water – although it would have been hard to stay in the boat with the water looking so refreshing.
