Autumn colours at the Bassin Bonsecours

It’s been a wonderful start to the Autumn season in Montreal. The fall colours are taking over almost everywhere you look, but still lots of green, so hopefully we will have plenty more beautiful Autumn days to enjoy.

Last Friday (September 26) I was down in Old Montreal to pick up some prints from my printer and took the opportunity to check out the Autumn colours at the Bassin Bonsecours. If you read my last post on my top 10 places to shoot Autumn colours in Montreal you will have seen Bassin Bonsecours listed in my top spots. I also mentioned you can end up spending a lot of time here on a warm fall day…which is what I ended up doing – from around 10am to mid-day 🙂

I began my photo walk at the Jacques Cartier Quay before working my way around the Bassin and ending up next to the row of pedalos that were moored up after a busy summer season…soon to be replaced by ice skaters.

I’m hoping to at least hit all my top 10 favourite autumn photo spots (and more) this season, so I should have plenty more fall colours to share in the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
