Last Wednesday (June 4) I went for a walk that began over at Westmount Park and the popular greenhouse. It was another gorgeous day and perfect for a visit to this great park that is situated on the south side of Sherbrooke street between Lansdowne avenue and Melville avenue in the City of Westmount.
One spot I particularly enjoy visiting is the small waterfall at the north end of the lake. Shaded by trees, it’s a great spot to take a pause on a warm day.
From pretty much the same spot, I took a slightly longer exposure to blur the flowing water…
There were some nice refelctions of the trees below the waterfall…
My main reason for going to Westmount Park was to get some shots of the Westmount Greenhouse. The greenhouse was originally constructed in 1927 by Lord & Burnham, who also built the conservatories for the New York Botanical Garden and the United states Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
