Today’s post is of a couple of shots taken down at Square Victoria. With the new Altoria condo construction rising quickly at the north end of the square, I thought I had better get a shot looking north in order to capture a view that now changes by the day…If I dig through my photo library, I’m hoping I captured the view last year before construction started.
As you may have seen, I’ve started experimenting with layers using the Topaz Labs Adjust pencil line preset and then painting back to the original photographic image via layer masks in PS Elements.
I had in my mind the concept of people walking down the steps at the Guimard Victoria Square Metro entrance and merging into a line drawing.
Something that I haven’t really experimented much with is adding textures to images. I thought I would incorporate a texture (in addition to painting in a line drawing layer) of the Tai-Chi Single Whip sculpture by Ju Ming.
Here is a before/after comparison:
The texture I used was of some painted metal that I shot a few months ago.
I look forward to trying some more texture creations soon.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
