It was the Saint Laurent Boulevard street sale this weekend when the street closes to car traffic between Sherbrooke street and Mount Royal Avenue, giving way to a pedestrian thoroughfare lined with stalls of the local merchants. Given the beautiful day, a lot of people were out enjoying the annual event.

Like yesterday’s 18th Century street market at Pointe à Callière, there were street artists providing a festive ambiance in the street. I was glad that we happened upon the colorful and great sounds of the Gypsy Kumbia Orchestra. I took quite a few shots as they slowly made there way down Saint Laurent delighting the crowds with their lively performance.
