Continuing on from the last couple of posts, today I have some more shots from Tuesday taken up on Mount Royal at night.
As I mentioned in the last entry, while I was at the Kondiaronk Belvédère I grabbed a couple of night shots of the downtown skyline which I’ve included at the end of today’s post. First, a couple of shots taken prior to the sunset that were taken on the East slope just above the Voie Camillien Houde Belvédère.
The trees are still a little way from having their autumn golden tones, so I decided to process the following shot in black and white. In the foreground you can see Saint Michael and Saint Anthony Church and the Saint Lawrence Warehouse.
I seem to have a thing for tilt-shift images these days…here is one of the Olympic Stadium.
I passed by the Mount Royal Cross on my way to shoot the sunset. I think I have shot it from pretty much every angle, but still couldn’t resist stopping to take another…
The light was fading quickly by the time I reached the chalet and Kondiaronk Belvédère, but the street lamps were on which makes for some nice shots of the pathway leading from the Smith House to the Chalet…
Finally a couple of night shots of the Montreal skyline.
There were quite a few people enjoying the relatively warm weather and great view of downtown.
Something that I have often struggled to shoot is the revolving light on the Ville Marie building. This time I was able to capture it. However, I wasn’t very happy with the sharpness of the rest of the buildings 🙁 I think I need go get my eyes tested.
Another tilt-shift, looking down rue de la Montagne.
For yesterday’s post I somehow neglected to include this following shot of someone playing the piano. So that it doesn’t feel unloved, I’ll share today 😉
Only 4 days left to save on prints and T-Shirts in the Facebook store
Before I sign off…just a reminder that the items available on the Facebook store will be updated with new products on October 1. so if you like anything, now would be a good time to head on over and make a purchase, as next week the prices will be going up 😉
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
