Today I have the last of the shots taken during my walk around the Old Port of Montreal last Tuesday that includes some evening Montreal skyline shots, the clock tower and City Hall at night.
First the Montreal skyline shots. I took one just following sunset on the Jacques-Cartier pier.
Next, the skyline seen from the steps beside the
While passing through Vauquelin Place at the side of the Hotel de Ville I stopped to take a shot of City Hall to try and get the lights of the window reflected in the square’s fountain. Many of the fountains in the city have now been emptied in preperation for the long cold winter fast approaching, and is now probably the case with the Vauquelin fountain, so glad I caught it, although the quality of the image could have been a bit sharper and I will likely now have to wait until spring to try this shot again :-/
Finally a few shots of the Clock Tower taken from the walkway behind the Terrasses Bonsecours and on the Quay de l’horloge.
The path leading to the Clock Tower, lined by trees and lit by street lamps, is a great place to shoot at night (and in the day) and I’m hoping this winter to get some night shots in the snow.
After almost a week of sharing images from the Old Port, I hope next week to have something a little different and fingers crossed the weather is not as bad as it has been all weekend.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
