Continuing on from yesterday’s post of shots taken on Crescent street, today’s images are of the Montréal F1 Grand Prix action on Peel street.
I always find that Peel is less packed – likely due to the fact there are few bars on Peel and no music stage – but that the booths and cars are more up-scale. Yesterday, the majority of cars on display were Porsches and rather than energy drink companies there was Moët & Chandon Champagne and Belvedere vodka.
I decided to shoot using the Nikkor 85mm 1.8G and go for some shallow depth of field shots. None of my other lenses allow for such a shallow DOF and I realize I have to be a lot more careful focusing on the exact spot given that when shooting close up, the focus point is very tight. I managed to get a few right at least 🙂
There were 3 Porsches parked along a yellow line which I thought would make for a nice composition…
Even in the rain, the Belvedere girls were looking très chic…
Unfortunately the weather doesn’t look like improving much over the weekend, although race day on Sunday is showing a slight improvement with sun and showers – which actually sometimes makes for a more exciting race.
Have a great weekend. Until next time.
