It seemed appropriate for the summer solstice to head to a park late afternoon and enjoy the warm weather. I decided to go check out if they had filled the lake yet at parc La Fontaine. I’m pleased to report that they are in the  process of filling it up after the recent work carried out to remove the problem of algae growth.

The lake isn’t yet looking at its best since the top lake isn’t yet filled but I’m guessing in a few days it will be looking better than it has for a long time.

So I just grabbed a couple of shots of the late afternoon sun filtering through the trees. Not quite like celebrating at Stonehenge or other mystical venue…but a lot of folks seemed pretty happy drinking a beer and having a bbq in the sun.
