It seemed appropriate that the day before the first day of spring, mother nature decided that winter was not ready to throw in the towel just yet and on Tuesday dumped about 25cm of snow across Montréal.
On my way back from the café in the morning I came across a bunch of recycle bins left in the road and decided to go grab my camera and take a few shots around the McGill Ghetto district in the snow.
Spring…nearly
The snow had stopped by Wednesday morning and the sun was out, so Spring was at least trying to show she hadn’t forgotten the date. I had to go down town on an errand and so grabbed a couple of shots from Place Ville Marie looking back up avenue McGill College towards Mount Royal.
An invite to Saint-Joseph during Novena
Going back to Tuesday…I had an invite by Samuel at the Saint-Joseph’s Oratory to go and shoot there in the afternoon. It was the final day of the Novena and Feast of Saint Joseph – which is the busiest period for the Oratory. I gladly accepted the kind invitation and got to visit and photograph areas of the Oratory closed to the public. I will be posting some pictures at the weekend, but here is a shot I took before entering.
