Being a bit short on time to go shooting today, I decided to just head over to McGill University and shoot the art installation outside the Rutherford Physics and Docteur Penfield Buildings.
I did already photograph this sculpture on January 7, but that was during the day, in the winter, when no water was running (a key feature of this art installation), so I thought it was worth another shot.
I decided to shoot HDR given the strong shadows together with bright lighting from both around the various waterfalls but also from the nearby buildings.
For the picture of the day. I went for the image that had a human element, although not showing much water movement – if any 🙁

If I had more time I would probably clone out the orange tape in the background as well as trying to reduce the highlight area at the bottom left, but it will have to wait until another day.

If I didn’t know better, I would have taken this as a close up of a trough style urinal – being on a student campus though, I may be right 😉

The white swirl in the foreground of the above shot is caused by foam – a popular prank by students in Montreal is to fill fountains with bubble bath and I guess this was due to some similar prank.
