While I was away in the UK a few winter activities/events commenced, one being the Lumino-Thérapie festival.
This year the main installation in the Quartier des Spectacles is entitled Iceberg. The interactive art installation consists of a series of illuminated metallic arches that each produce a particular sound depicting the life of an iceberg from its carving into arctic waters to its melting in the southern ocean.
My images tonight unfortunately don’t really do justice to the installation – in part due to the fact it was fairly quiet and the installation being interactive becomes brighter (and louder) as more people walk through the tunnels. Iceberg will be on show until February 3, so plenty of time to get some more pics.
Although not part of the Iceberg installation, Place des Arts was looking particularly colorful tonight.
I admit to having a habit of pressing my lens up against the cool sky light over Place des Arts foyer and tonight I couldn’t resist doing it again to get a shot of the Christmas tree in the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier entrance.
