As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, after watching the Montréal Complètement Cirque opening parade on Wednesday, I stopped by the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. I managed to catch a couple of acts on my way through the Quartier des Spectacles, starting with Angel Forrest who was performing on the Loto Québec stage…
I managed to just catch the last moments of Pugs and Crows – who won the 2013 JUNO for Instrumental Album of the Year for Fantastic Pictures…
I spotted this group of folks taking a break next to one of my favorite murals…
On rue Sainte-Catherine at the Rio Tinto Alcan stage, Kellylee Evans – another Juno winner (2011) had just started her performance…
There happened to be a really nice sunset Wednesday – probably helped by the huge forest fires in the North…
I just remembered that last Saturday after the Google 2+ anniversary photowalk I had grabbed a couple of shots at the jazz festival on my way home. I never posted them, so thought I might as well tag them at the end of today’s post.
I couldn’t help but take a shot of this guy in his suit – definitely looked the part at the jazz fest – though not someone I would have guessed as being a fan of Marie-Mai, but maybe the bag isn’t his.
It’s sad that I haven’t managed to get down to see more jazz over the last week and can’t believe it already ends this Sunday 🙁
Maybe I can catch a few more acts over the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
