Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Until yesterday I hadn’t taken many shots since returning back to Montreal from the UK last week. However, yesterday the sun was out, we had about 15cm of snow during the weekend and so I was keen to get out and enjoy shooting again.
I decided to walk up Mount Royal where I took a few pics before heading over to Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery and then to the Outremont Summit and Saint Jean-Baptiste woods on the north side of the mountain. It ended up being a long and tiring walk, but was great to be back photographing in the snow…despite my aches and pains today.
Since I covered so much distance and took a lot of shots, I’ll split the resulting shots over a few posts, starting today with some shots taken on my way to Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery.
Being a work day for most folks, the mountain was fairly quiet given the beautiful day with the temperature a reasonable -10 degrees. There were some people out though enjoying walking their dog/s, cross country skiing and ice skating at Beaver Lake (lac aux castors)…
There was plenty of room available on the ice rink at Beaver Lake…
No queing needed at the toboggan slides, in fact I didn’t see anyone tubing which was a shame since I had hoped to grab some action shots 🙁
I’ll continue the post tomorrow with some shots taken at Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery that was looking superb under the fresh layer of snow…plus I met my friend the fox again 🙂
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
