I mentioned a few days ago in the post on the Saint Lawrence Warehouse and water tower that I came across a small wild sculpture garden. The garden is located on avenue Van Horne opposite rue Saint Urbain.
I did a quick Google search and found out it is the work of local artist Glen Lemesurier and he calls it the Twilight Sculpture Garden. He began installing his pieces 12 years ago on what was then a barren space filled with garbage. His blog says that the garden is always evolving as he adds new pieces – plus some of his work is kinetic and changes with the wind and seasons.
Glen has done a great job in transforming an unsightly piece of ground into a wonderful oasis for people to enjoy.
I was a bit pressed for time but managed to get a couple of shots of a few pieces.
I’m always on the lookout for textures and with all the rusting metal, there was quite a few interesting rust textures at hand.
I will make a point of going back one day as there are loads of other great details to shoot.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
