Despite the rain, I headed down to Crescent Street earlier to check out the annual F1 Grand Prix happenings.
Each year during the Grand Prix weekend the street closes between Sherbrooke street and Sainte Catherine. Various drink, car and racing linked companies set up stalls, together with a music stage. For the bars either side of the street, this weekend is a key date in their calendars.
Like last year, the weather decided not to be kind, and didn’t make for much fun taking pics, but I managed to get a few.
The Sir Winston Churchill pub (Winnies) overlooking Crescent street is always a popular place to hang and people watch -likely even more so now that their neighbor Thursday’s is closed.
Of course it wouldn’t be the Grand Prix without girls…
As in past years, there’s the Pit Stop challenge, although there wasn’t many wheels being changed when I passed by.
Together with the Pirelli Racing game booth.
I also checked out Peel street which is also closed and will be sharing pics from there tomorrow.
Until then. Thanks for stopping by.
