Earlier this evening, I dropped by the Francofolies de Montréal festival for the second time. I spent a couple of hours meandering around and managed to see 4 acts; Patrice Michaud, Clement Jacques, Sylvie Paquette, and Les Hôtesses d’Hilaire.
Since it’s getting a bit late, I thought I would split this post into two (part 2 tomorrow). So I will start at the beginning…
On the Pub Rickard’s stage at 5pm Patrice Michaud was performing. I unfortunately missed Catherine Durand – who I believe was performing with him at the start – or was just taking a break when I happened to pass by 🙁
The Pub Rickard’s stage is a little different to the other outdoor stages in that (like the name suggests) it’s not so much an open stage, more of a temporary pub, complete with tables and seating – not that I captured any pics showing that (something to remember for next vist).
Although I’m not a big fan of HDR style images on people, I tried a couple of pseudo ones in Lightroom and quite like the result…
At 6pm Clement Jacques was performing on the main Bell Stage.
With the sun getting low, taking shots away from the shade of the stage was not so easy, particularly with a wide angle, but there were some nice cloud formations and shadows that I wanted to try and capture.
Well that wraps up part one…tune in tomorrow for more shots from the FrancoFolies.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
