November 17 2012
It was a nice clear night this evening so I wandered down to Old Montreal at around dusk to hunt for the picture of the day. The moon just happened to be in almost alignment with the art deco Aldred building at Place d’Armes. I took a few shots from the steps of the Court of Appeal, one exposure for the moon and a slightly longer exposure for the building. The focus could have been a little crisper, but I was quite happy how it came out
If you walk down Amherst you get a great view of the Clock Tower standing at the end of the street. I don’t think I have taken a shot of the tower from here before, so here are a couple from tonight.
I passed over the Ville Marie Expressway on my little walkabout and with the moon high in the sky I decided to try a couple of long exposure shots.
I’ve been wanting to head back to the area known as Faubourg Québec (between the Molson Brewery and Notre Dame de Bonsecours) since my last visit during the day on October 16.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
