For a change today, I ventured a little further west and walked around Westmount Park located at the corner of Sherbrook street and avenue Melville.
As the name suggests, the park is in the City of Westmount that is a wealthy, mainly residential, area to the west of the downtown Montreal center. Westmount Park is the second largest in Westmount, the largest being King George Park (AKA Murray Hill Park) in Upper Westmount.
I plan on covering more images from Westmount, particularly in regard to the architecture that is quite unique on the island of Montreal having strong historic ties to the anglo community of Montreal. Today I stuck to just grabbing a few shots of the park which is a great place to relax with the many benches. It is quite distinct to the parks found in and around the plateau – I don’t think I saw one busker or homeless person in the park.
