Between now and the 14th of Juy, Montréal becomes Circus City with the return of the Montréal Complètement Cirque festival (4th edition).
The festival opened last night with a short parade of circus artist’s that began at the corner of Ontario and Saint-Denis and ended with an acrobatic performance at Place Émilie Gamelin – a short preview of Babel produced by Anthony Venisse that will be performed each night between 9pm and 10pm.
Babel certainly looks like a performance worth catching if you are in Montréal…plus lot’s of other free (and paid) shows to see between now and the 13th – for full schedule, head over to Montréal Complètement Cirque website.
On my way to the circus parade I passed through the jazz festival and by coincidence there was a girl doing a performance with a big hoop. Since I was a bit early for the parade I stopped to grab a few pictures and decided to shoot extended exposures to emphasize the movement.
I swung by the Jazz festival on the way back and too and managed to shoot a couple of shows and will share tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
