Another cold day here in Montreal, but I plucked up the energy and took a quick walk around Parc Lafontaine following a hearty brunch down the road at Café Cherrier.
Either due to it being so cold, or people were busy with christmas shopping, the park was pretty quiet, and those that braved the cold pretty much had the ice rink to themselves.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the park so devoid of life before.
The Centre culturel Calixa-Lavallée has recently undergone renovation work that included some new copper work on the roof. There wasn’t much action at the outdoor hockey rinks today.
Even the large squirrel population that call Parc Lafontaine home were not in their usual abundance, but this guy was braving the cold and posed for a pic.
I had thought of going down to the Old Port tonight and shooting the first evening of the Telus Fire on Ice fireworks next to the Bonsecours ice rink, but the freezing temperature and forecast snow put me more in the mood for staying in the warm. The forecast is for lots of snow during tonight and tomorrow, so hopefully I can get some nice winter shots tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
