Turquoise seems to be the colour of the month…

Not sure if everyone is favouring the colour turquoise lately, but I noticed I had a bias of pictures that had turquoise as the prominent colour.

I noticed that Friperie Saint-Laurent store on the corner of Duluth and boulevard Saint-Laurent have a new sign. Since the store sells clothing and items from the 30’s to the 70′ I thought processing with a vintage feel was  appropriate.

There’s some beautiful architecture on the Plateau (Victorian homes, outside staircases, balconies etc)…and then there are some damn ugly buildings. One recent addition to the latter category are the apartment buildings on the corner of rue Roy and avenue Coloniale. In particular, the metal staircase and balconies at the rear of the building on the south side of Roy – looks more like something you would find in a prison wing.

Maybe with some ivy grown over it it might look less austere.

Parc Jeanne-Mance

Parc Jeanne-Mance is a great spot to bask in the sun during long summer days…or perhaps work up a sweat playing beach volley ball. Each day during the summer months you will often find people having a friendly match on the numerous courts organized by the Milton Park Recreation Association.
