Fresh powder spring snow

As I mentioned in my last post, following Saturday’s snow storm, Sunday was a beautiful sunny day, despite being a bit on the chilly side for late March. But at least with the cold temperature, the snow stuck around and was a great day to take a little walk up Mount Royal in the fresh powder spring snow.

I ended up only making it to the lower east side near the George Étienne Cartier Monument, but was still nice to walk through the fresh snow.

Some were feeling a little more energetic than myself and having fun at the toboggan hill on the corner of avenue du Parc and chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine. And notice, not a kid among them…

Another popular activity seemed to be cycling…

And the cross country skiing fans were more than happy with the fresh powder.

All of this activity watching was making me thirsty…unfortunately this bottle of Stella was empty when I found it, but it did make for a nice subject in the clean sparkly snow.

The air was especially clear following the snow storm and I don’t recall seeing the distant hills of Mont Saint Hilaire and Saint Bruno so clearly from the corner of avenue du Parc.

If you have been following me on Instagram you may have already seen the following image (although a cropped version). I recently started playing around with the Snapseed app which has some pretty cool image editing and filter options. I ended up going a bit OTT on this one but liked the resulting vintage look.

I took a quick look inside the Percival Molson Stadium where the Alouettes play. A good job the CFL season doesn’t kick off for a few more months, otherwise, good luck finding your seat.

Images now for sale on Fine Art America

I recently signed up with Fine Art America to sell a selection of my images on their portfolio of International sites. Although I have been selling quite a few prints direct, FAA provide a great service for people looking to buy an image that is ready to hang. The site has a great selection of frames, selection of mats and paper as well as offering metal, acrylic and canvas options.

When selecting framed prints you actually get to view what the image will look like with the frame and mat selection…and with so many options it’s a great tool.

I’m still uploading a selection of images, but you can check it out under the Fine Art Print Store here on Montreal in Pictures under the framed section and view the images currently listed.

If you happen to be a designer or corporate buyer, then you may already be aware that FAA has a site (designerprints.com) offering discount prices and you can also find my images available there.

I will still offer signed and numbered prints direct for those interested, but once I’ve uploaded all my back images to FAA I’ll be removing the gallery pages in the Fine Arts Print Store and you will just need to contact me to discuss.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
