Unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy Nuit Blanche last Saturday. I had hoped that after leaving another engagement I would have the energy to make it to at least a few events, but alas it was 1.30am and I don’t think many of my shots would have ended up being in focus…I must make sure not to double book next year!
I’ve been a bit lax in taking pictures recently – hence the lack of posts. If you follow me over on the various social media platforms, you will probably have seen a couple of shots taken over the last few days though.
The initial shot was actually taken back on the 25th of February but I only recently got round to processing it.
There was the usual long lineup outside Schwartz’s deli on boulevard Saint-Laurent when I passed by on Sunday.
I did manage to get a few shots yesterday while out on Rutherford Park and McGill University. I wanted to get a few shots of the ice wall that forms on the small cliff face below avenue des Pins.
The light was a bit too bright, so I didn’t take many shots…I did however try a bit of an abstract shot, looking directly up the wall of ice.
On my way down from Rutherford Park I noticed lots of steam passing behind the cupola of the McGill Arts building and thought it would make for some interesting shots.
I was hoping there would have been some folks playing ice hockey on the outdoor rink of McGill’s campus. No hockey, but at least there were a few skaters on the ice.
It was a beautiful day, except for the freezing cold wind. Since I was passing, I took a few minutes to enter the Redpath Museum and warm up a bit – as well as take a few pictures.
There was a nice reflection of the ceiling in the glass of a display case – almost looked like you were looking out over a pool of water…
If you would like to see more pics of the Redpath Museum, you can check out my previous post following a longer visit I made back in 2012.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
