On Tuesday I had to stop by the printers in Vieux Montréal to order some prints, so while in the area I took the opportunity to do a quick photowalk.
I began on rue Bonsecours adjacent to the Hôtel-Château Pierre du Calvet for a shot of the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel. I was a bit too early to photograph it in all its splendour when the bell tower is lit, but I can never resist taking a photo whenever I pass-by.
Next to the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel on rue Saint Paul is the Marché Bonsecours
The christmas light decorations are now out on Place Jacques-Cartier. It’s the same as last year, four rows of light trees from rue Saint Paul up to almost rue Notre-Dame. They make for some great pictures with City Hall in the background. If I’d had my tripod I would have probably spent much longer trying different angles, but with the light quickly fading, it was getting to my limit of being able to take hand-held shots, so I thought it best to leave to another visit – preferably just after a fresh covering of snow.
Only $199.99 for the complete Topaz Labs Photo bundle
I took advantage of the Topaz Labs Black Friday sale today (ends December 2) where they are providing their complete line of 14 photo editing software plugins at almost 50% off (regular bundle price is $379.99). I didn’t have a chance to try out any of the new software yet but hope to in the next few days. I’m particularly eager to have a play with the B&W effects, Restyle, Simplify and Star Effects.
Use the coupon code ‘blackfriday2013‘ at checkout to take advantage of this great deal.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
