As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, following a picnic brunch and leisurely walk around parc Maisonneuve, we cut through the Olympic Stadium back to the metro where I grabbed a few more shots of the Big O. Although I’ve taken quite a few shots (day and night), I think I found a couple of new angles that I’d not yet taken.
One angle in particular is shooting across the futuristic black glass dome covering the concourse below.
I also shot a 3 bracket exposure to help bring out the reflections on the glass without blowing out the highlights in the tower…it was still early afternoon and not the best time to be shooting.
I’m pretty sure I’ve taken the following angle before, but I don’t think there was water at the base when I last shot since it was in the winter. I decided to process with a split tone adjustment in Lightroom.
I love the design of the Sherbrooke overpass that lies between the Olympic Stadium and the Insectarium…
While descending the escalator at Pie IX metro station, I grabbed a shot of the ceiling and the circle of lights…
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
