Joyeuse Saint-Jean-Baptiste

Joyeuse Sainte-Jean-Baptiste tout le monde !

To mark the Québec national holiday, I decided to  shoot some Québec flags. Normally on this day there are Québec flags to be seen everywhere, but I had to walk up and down quite a few streets before I found any on the Plateau.

If you have been following the blog for a while, you will know I love taking shots of puddles. This one didn’t come out quite as intended as you can hardly make out the flag, but I quite like the reflection…

I noticed some flags that had obviously seen better days, but what really caught my eye was the skull above…

With the sky darkening and thunder rumbling in the distance, I’m glad I decided to get some pics earlier in the day rather than heading out in the rain to the concert held each year at parc Maisonneuve. With the humidex today making it feel like 38 degrees hopefully the rain will at least cool things down a bit.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
