Rue Saint Hubert and an experiment

I had hoped to get out today and take some shots, but the rain didn’t let up for a minute. Thankfully I had a few random shots I took yesterday when I went out to capture some test images for a client.

On my way back, I passed by rue Prince-Arthur. One of the restaurants had their tables on the terrace laid out and although I was late rushing to a meeting, I thought I would take a shot looking down the tables of upturned glasses.

Partly due to the fact I was in a rush, the image didn’t come off as I had envisioned in my head. Focus point, angle, composition, exposure…pretty much everything you could say.

I decided anyway to play around and see if I could salvage something from the shot. After some tweaks in Lightroom and Topaz Adjust, I managed to come up with this. Nothing like what I had originally intended, but happy to have experimented a bit. I was quite impressed with how Topaz edge aware tool handled the brushing around the glasses.

Hopefully it won’t be as wet tomorrow and I can get out to shoot a bit.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
