This weekend was the 18th edition of Nuit Blanche sur Tableau Noir on avenue du Mont-Royal. From Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th the street between Boulevard St-Laurent and rue Fullum is closed to traffic, with stores setting up stalls on the sidewalks and various entertainment and activities taking place throughout the 4 days.
At last the sun came out today, so after brunch we headed up to take a wander through the throngs of people who apparently had had the same idea.
There were quite a few street performers entertaining the passing crowds…
Seems like the Montréal summer festival season is now underway and next week sees the Francofolies festival open on Thursday, filling the Quartier des Spectacles with music for the following 9 days and nights. Hopefully the weather will be a bit kinder than it was at the start of the F1 weekend.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
