December 29 2012
I didn’t have any time for any more photo walkabouts around Québec City before returning to Montreal tonight, but we decided to take my favorite route back along the 138 which runs adjacent to the Saint Lawrence river.
The shot selected for the day’s image was taken at Sainte Anne de la Pérade where there is a large ‘temporary settlement’ of ice fishing huts on the Sainte Anne river. We only got there at dusk and didn’t have any time to scout the area for a good shot location and so ended up just grabbing a shot from the bridge.
There was a lot of pack ice flowing down the river and we managed to make a couple of stops to take some shots of the river and landscape. Unfortunately the day was overcast and the light wasn’t ideal 🙁
We returned to a very snow covered Montreal. I hear it will take the city 10 days to remove all the snow…hopefully tomorrow I will have a chance to get some images to share.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
