I took a walk his evening along avenue du Mont Royal between blvd Saint Laurent and Papineaut to get a few shots for today. Seems like recently I’ve only managed to get out to shoot once the sun has gone down, but guess that it is more likely now given it’s almost dark by 5.
The metal door and canopy to the Taverne chez Normand grabbed my attention and I thought the metal would make for a great HDR piece. I resisted the temptation to call in for a little refreshment.
Nearby, further East, are a couple of great pink and blue neon signs. The Hot Dog sign is for La Belle Province restaurant/diner. Just as well I had refrained from getting a beer, as certainly a Hot Dog fromLa Belle Province would have been next stop.
Avenue du Mont Royal has some great little bistro’s and coffee shops dotted along its length, together with a variety of independent stores ranging from clothes stores to furniture and everything in between.
My favorite places to visit though on the quirky street are the numerous second hand book and music stores.
I’ve shared a few images of the interior of the Eglise Notre Dame du Tres Saint Sacrement before but never shot it at night. This is a magnificent church and is certainly worth taking a look inside f you’re in the neighborhood.
