June 12 2012
I left it a bit late going out today to find something to photograph, and by early afternoon the rain was coming down.
Despite the rain, I kept with my original plan and headed down to the Urban Forest public art installation at the McCord Museum on rue Sherbrooke. The Urban Forest features artificial turf, sparkling ribbon trees, a swing, a picnic area, a patio and public artwork – all in purple.
It wasn’t the best day or weather to really go and see the installation and I ended up having Prince’s Purple Rain playing in my head all day 🙂
On Wednesday’s between 6.30-7.30pm  until September 12th there will be Forest Nights featuring local bands. With free entry to the Museum on Wednesday’s together with the outside terrace, I think I will be heading back soon under more enjoyable conditions 🙂
The Urban Forest event runs until September 30th, so if you are in Montreal between now and then, be sure to check out the McCord Museum and the summer Urban Forest event !!
