I’m a bit late posting yesterday’s images due to not having the time to sort through the pics I took during a student protest before going to a friends birthday party in the evening.
Despite it raining (at times heavily), several thousand turned out to march and many came armed with their pots and pans that has now become customary accessories in the daily protest marches.
With the latest negotiations breaking down last week and both sides (Government and students) appearing as far apart in their demands as ever, it looks like the protests will continue for sometime. Many are now concerned that the Grand Prix will be targeted by student protests next week as well as the numerous festivals that take place downtown during the summer months.

Today’s march was festive in nature and it appears Montreal now has some very talented pan players, afterall many do practice on a nightly basis.
