May 8 2012
Not sure where the great weather we had the last few days went to, but today was miserable and wet the entire day. Thankfully I had to go downtown for some errands, otherwise I may not have dragged myself out to get the few pics I did manage to capture.
I had considered heading to a church or some other indoor location and shoot some HDR, but since I was under a bit of time pressure (and HDR takes a little extra time in post-processing), I decided to just head out with my point and shoot and hope to come across something of interest.
Parked near rue Sainte-Catherine was this wonderful Harley Davidson. Unfortunately there were a lot of distractions in the background, so I had to try and blur out everything but the bike as much as possible using Photoshop. The first image I also tweaked a little using Topaz Adjust to give it a bit more atmosphere.
There was a nice custom paint job on the tank…I’m not 100% sure, but I think it may be a depiction of the comic character Tank Girl?
Except for the Harley, the only other shots I managed to capture today were a couple of graffiti.
At least with the foul weather, I managed to find some time to add a few pages to the blog that showcase the daily featured pics taken so far in my quest to take a picture every day. So if you missed any (and are interested in catching up), you can check the pics by month.
Hopefully the nice weather will return soon, but not looking good for tomorrow.
