Following brunch at Café Cherrier, I stumbled upon the preparation for the 6th annual awareness walk for Autism that was due to begin at 1.30pm at Carré Saint-Louis. Last year 1,000 took part to help increase the visibility of autism and organizers were hoping this year they would manage to draw at least 1,500.
It was a change to see blue balloons rather than red (which I imagine are in short supply now after the students have likely purchased thousands over their 12 week long strike).
Unfortunately I was unable to hang around for the start of the awareness walk and hope attendance was high for this great cause and that it generates the media attention it justly deserves.
