Project 365 – Day 285: A funky alley on Le Plateau

October 11 2012

I came across a fun alley on Le Plateau this afternoon near rue Napoleon and avenue de l’Hôtel de Ville.

Le Plateau is known as being home to many artists and I think this alley is certainly feeling at home. Objects including a bathtub, sink, toilet, chest of drawers and even an old Hammond organ have found new lives as plant pots.

Continuing on with my recent plan to begin building a library of textures, I shot the following image of peeling paint on wood.

I passed through Place Roy on my way back. I’ve already shot the art installation of chair sculptures by Québec artist  Michel Goulet, but the sun light on the yellow trees persuaded me to grab another shot of the square.
