While checking the weather forecast on line this morning I saw an image of a very colorful Place de la Dauversière that is opposite City Hall in Old Montreal. So I thought I better head down there today in the hope that the colors were still out…I wasn’t to be disappointed.
I passed by here last week and at the time I had noticed there was a nice display of old photographs of Montreal. The exhibition is still on and worth checking out if you are in the area. The photographs are mounted on light boxes, so it may make a good subject for a night time shot – Maybe I will try to revisit this week in the evening.
Another plus of visiting here is that the adjacent garden at the rear of the Chateau Ramezay museum is open – or I struck lucky and they forgot to lock the gate 😉 There are some nice displays of pumkins and squashes dotted around the small vegetable garden, which against the red and green leafy background made for some nice still life shots.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

What fantastic colours you have caught here Martin, the HDR has really pulled them through. great work 😉
Thanks Steve…I loved the red in the first shot, it didn’t even require HDR it was so bright on its own..I didn’t even tough the vibrance or saturation on that one 😉 The others though needed a little HDR love 😉
Gorgeous colors!!!
I think Autumn has arrived…just hope the colors stay around for a bit before we have to get used to everything being white;-)
Beautiful photos and stunning colors! Thanks for sharing 🙂
