Being the first day of Autumn I had planned to go and shoot some colorful leaves, not that there are that many trees showing off their autumn colors yet. Unfortunately by the time we got out of the restaurant following brunch it had started raining and I was not in much of a mood to go up on Mount Royal or over to Park La Fontaine.
So instead, I decided to wait until early this evening just before sunset when the rain had eventually stopped and to head up to the lookout on Voie Camillien Houde. When I was about half way to the lookout the sky quickly turned a nice pink and purple hue. Unfortunately I hadn’t left myself enough time to get to the other side of Mount Royal to see the sun setting. Instead I had to settle for the view to the East towards the Olympic Stadium. It ended up not being a bad result due to the fact mist was rising off the tree line and there was the last signs of a rainbow appearing to rise up out of the Saint Lawrence.
I did manage to get a few shots of fall leaves on the ground before the light called it a day. Still a bit early for leaf peeping but hope this year will be very colorful autumn season.
Wishing everyone a great Autumn !!!

I love autumn, I wish we’ll have beautiful colors to shoot before all the leaves fall 🙂 I like this view to the East, some beautiful things in East Montreal, too 🙂 Great pics! Have a great sunday.
