Today is La Fête nationale des Québécois (la Saint-Jean-Baptiste).
Although there was a big parade along Sherbrooke street this afternoon and a concert at parc Maisonneuve tonight, I had a Euro quarter final football match to watch (England vs Italy) and a party to attend, so only managed to grab one shot this morning.
During a recent trip down in Old Montreal, I noticed an interesting angle from which to shoot the Quebec flag on the edge of Square Vauquelin to include part of the statue of Jean Vauquelin- in particular the canon which I thought would be symbolic for today.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
