Just as I was trying to decide what to go and shoot for the day’s photo, the sky opened up and dumped 50mm of rain in just 30 minutes – I had my answer.
Within minutes water was cascading down the street outside my apartment, so once the rain had tapered off, I headed down to the street to grab some shots.
With water coming in through the doors at La Cité, I decided to head downstairs to check out the shopping mall. Water was coming down the walls and there were pools of water in the passageway.
I heard what sounded like a waterfall coming from the staircase leading to the underground car park, so had to go check it out and discovered water shooting out of the walls.
I imagine there are a lot of people pumping out their basements tonight – It’s times like this I’m glad to be living up on the 9th floor.

Thank you…glad you like 🙂
Great shots! LOVE the first one of the lady + umbrella and lost shoe. You could sell that one as a fashion photo.
Thank you Balle Runner…maybe I should start looking at selling prints 😉
