On Friday afternoon I took a quick walk around Place des Festivals where the 23rd edition of the First Peoples’ Festival (Festival Présence autochtone) is taking place (July 30- August 5).
There were a couple of Inuit Sculptors on site, working their magic creating the traditional Inuit sculptured stone art…
A girl was performing a dance with hoops which was quite impressive.
I tried a long exposure to get a sense of the motion…
Taking a small break
I’m off to Abitibi tomorrow for a short vacation and so won’t be posting again until August 14. I’m looking forward to a change of scenery and hoping to discover some great landscape locations and with no light pollution, hopefully I’ll try to get some night sky shots.
Wishing everyone a great week !
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

Great shots, as always. Why hasn’t anyone thought of having a First Peoples’ Festival before… it’s a natural. Will you be posting photos of Abitibi eventually? Hope so!
