As follow-up to a post I did a few weeks back of murals on boulevard Saint Laurent that were produced during the MURALES festival held in mid-June, yesterday I managed to grab some shots of a few more of the 20+ new murals adorning many walls along The Main between rue Sherbrooke and avenue du Mont-Royal.
The first shot is of the mural by the US/European artist who goes by the name Squid called Sebastian on avenue du Marie-Anne
On the other side of the street is another mural – this one I believe was done by Stare.
On the other side of Saint Laurent is the mural by Montreal artist – Labrona. Unfortunately cars were parked right in front of the mural and it was not easy to shoot without cropping the mural slightly.
Next up, and another difficult one to shoot given they are on the wall of a head stone manufacturer enclosed by a fence, is the work of UK artist Phlegm. I took a wide shot as I had to include the funky Ripples car.
I love the fact the mural’s both depict stone masons, very apt for the location.
Below the second OMEN mural is one by Wzrds gng (also from Montreal) – Brightens up what is a rather somber surrounding.
Heading on down boulevard Saint-Laurent there’s a great mural by local Montreal artist Omen.
The last one for today is on the corner of avenue des Pins and is by A’Shop – an artist collective from Montréal.
Still quite a few I need to shoot, so I guess there will be a part 3 (or even 4) to cover all the great new murals.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.

Another great post. The wealth of wall art in Montreal is simply amazing. The upper-left mural in photo #22-7 looks like a cross between the work of M. C. Escher and Fido (the artist who did much of the artwork on early Mahogany Rush albums).
Thanks HoaiPhai…yep, Montreal does have some great wall art, so much that I even thought of starting a separate blog documenting them all 😉 You’re right about the similarity with M.C. Escher – I’m not familiar with Fido’s art but will check him out.
