After visiting parc La Fontaine yesterday, I headed down to the Gay Village, specifically rue Sainte-Catherine to get some shots of the 200,000 pink balls (Les Boules Roses) that hang above the pedestrianized street during summer between saint Hubert and Papineau streets. This is the 3rd year that the pink balls have transformed the 1.1km length of Sainte Catherine into a pink shaded walkway.
Les Boules Roses is just a backdrop to the summer fun in the Gay Village as part of the Aires Libres festival with various activities going on until September 2nd.
I took some shots last year which you can see here: Project 365 – Day 165: Aire Libres in the Gay Village
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
