During yesterday’s meandering around the Plateau I grabbed a few random shots here and there.
The first shot was on Duluth. I’ve often noticed this great balcony and staircase leading to the roof. The red washing hanging out against the blue staircase called out to be photographed. I really liked how the sky came out with a little tweaking in Lightroom.
I don’t recall unfortunately what alley way we wandered down and found a couple of interesting graffiti painted windows.
Just north of rue Rachel on rue Drolet is a great old fashioned hand car wash. I love that places like this are still in operation and help keep the Plateau history alive. I’ve been told not to take pictures here before, but since no one was around, I couldn’t resist grabbing a quick shot.
Unfortunately the shot I took of the outside with the old signage overhead was not one of my best, with blown out sky, not a great depth of focus and basically pretty bland.
I tried a few different effects to see if I could salvage anything. I’m not normally a fan of solarized effects, but for fun I tried the Solarized Dreams preset in Topaz Adjust and quite liked the surreal result.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
