Montreal skyline from Mount Royal

Yesterday I visited Mount Royal and took some shots from the Kondiaronk lookout. I ended up taking quite a few pics and here are the first batch that I managed to get to play a little with in Lightroom.

The first shot was developed using Trey Ratcliff’s preset Dramatic Chippy as the jumping off point, then converted to Black and White with some changes in temperature and the odd other tweak here and there. I quite like this look and one day may get around to actually saving it as a preset to save me a little work in the future.

I’m not totally sure on this next one. I played around with the split tone and color balance setting in Lightroom to emphasize the green of Mount Royal in contrast to the urban cityscape below.

After the storm on Saturday, the air was really clear, giving a good view into the distance.

Another play with the split toning settings in Lightroom…

I’ll be sharing the rest of the pics from my Mount Royal trip tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.
