Bell Centre construction update #2

Today I went to check on the office and condo developments taking place around the Bell Centre. This is my third visit and except for a few more cranes, there isn’t a whole lot of difference (photographically speaking) to what I posted from my last visit at the end of November. It does look like excavation has started though on the L’Avenue Condo project directly opposite the Bell Centre.

As a result I didn’t take too many shots this time. It will of course become more engaging once the construction of each tower breaks above ground.

The first image was taken at the top of the temporary steps at Lucien l’Alier train station on rue de la Montagne. As a side note I plan to try and shoot the site every 3-4 months from similar locations.

The second shot was taken on the corner of boulevard René-Lévesque and rue de la Montagne.

Another project – the 38 floor Icône Condo’s – is also underway on the north side of René-Lévesque at the corner of de la Montagne – making 6 new cond towers in almost a single city block.

The Deloitte Tower on Saint-Antoine is the most advanced in the development stage and has grown a number of floors since my visit in November.

This will make an interesting spot to shoot from as the numerous new towers claim their spot in the Montreal skyline. I still can’t quite picture how the above image will look by the end of 2015, but it will certainly look quite different to today. In addition, development is also planned in front of the Bell Centre and Windsor Station.

I look forward to seeing what changes there will be on my next visit around May/June.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time.
