Sunset at Windmill Point

When I was down in Old Montreal on Tuesday, I walked across the bridge that leads to the Bota Bota Spa to take some shots of the Montreal skyline from Windmill Point (Pointe du moulin à Vent) next to the Grain Silo #5.

I first visited Windmill Point at the beginning of September and thought it would make a nice place to take some sunset shots from. The clouds on Tuesday were looking great and I wanted to catch their reflection in the water. Unfortunately the water level is lowered at this time of year in preparation for winter but there was enough to get some nice sky and building reflections.

In the final 2 shots below you can see Le Silhouette condo development in progress on rue de la Commune (between rue Queen and rue King). This area on the edge of Griffintown has seen major redevelopment in recent years and is now populated with condo’s and offices.
