Parc Maisonneuve in autumn

Before I entered the Montreal Botanical Garden for the Gardens of Light event last Thursday I took a quick stroll through Parc Maisonneuve.

Since it’s not that close to where I live, this isn’t a park that I visit very often and so didn’t know how it would look in autumn. Unlike many of the parks near where I live (Mount Royal, parc La Fontaine, parc Jeanne-Mance) that contain mostly deciduous tree varieties, Parc Maisonneuve has a lot of evergreens and so the colours were not overly autumnal. Although yellow’s and red’s were not in huge abundance, I did manage to get a few autumn looking shots.

Sadly it appears autumn is quickly passing with fewer leaves on the trees each passing day, but hopefully I can grab one or two more photo sessions before the trees are completely bare.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
