Parc Maisonneuve

We had planned to go and visit the Botanical Garden today, but when we arrived there was a long queue to get in and decided it would be better to go on a less busy day and when the weather wasn’t quite as hot. Normally you can gain access to some of the outside gardens for free, but this year, due to the Mosaiculture Sculptures exhibition, there is a charge for access to the entire garden.

So instead we headed over to Parc Maisonneuve for a picnic brunch under the trees.

Across the street from parc Maisonneuve are the apartment complexes that formed the Olympic Village and was home to the Olympic Athletes during the 1976 summer Olympic Games. They are now private apartments and somewhere that I have yet to shoot – the village is an interesting design and should make for some interesting shots.

Another key landmark just across the street from the park is the Olympic Stadium – The Big O…

On the way back to the metro station we passed by the stadium. Although I’ve shot the stadium a few times before, I took a few more shots anyway and will post those tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
